The Bass Guitar
Method in three volumes and 5 languages.
Author: Francis DARIZCUREN
Editor: Henry LEMOINE
Target audience: Beginner flight 1, intermediate flight 2,
flight 3 confirmed.
Genre: jazz and rock
It is a trilogy that I use for courses at the DARIZMUSIC Institute and by correspondence. These are therefore three reference books that have proven their worth for a long time. All subjects are discussed, explained, dissected in 5 languages!
The first volume, devoted to rhythmic initiation is recreational (you will know your sleeve),
some exercises are even singing.
The second volume is more technical: speed of the right then left hands, and coordination of the two, sequence of rhythms and tablatures, passage from binary to ternary, phrasing, scales with tablatures.
This technique will necessarily be of use to you. Here you will only find what you need, but what you need is ESSENTIAL ! Make it a game, a fun, a challenge, you'll see, it's very effective
The third volume deals with Slap, a style that forces you to perfectionism. You will find there: the essential bases, the ascending and descending flows (pull off / hammer on) with which this style of bass is dotted: rhythmic and progressive examples of the pieces.
The second part of this book is devoted to natural and artificial harmonics.

To date, nothing exists on the 5-string bass which is in the process of acquiring its letters of nobility. In this method, nothing is missing: learning to read (notes + tablatures), drawings, diagrams, scales, rhythm, analysis of styles with examples, fretless, slap, tapping, culture musical, the traps to avoid, the improv and 19 pieces. A must !!!

The bassist / drummer complicity exists, once you know your instrument well, it is even the most important!
Here are therefore these 100 plans of different styles which correspond exactly to the drum volume of Michel LORIN at the same publisher. Of course, all this is progressive and if you have, say towards the end where it is more delicate, rhythmic problems, calculate your set-ups by time, the respect of the values will be more strict.
Then strive to double that urge
and to overdrive the whole to eight eighth notes per measure and no longer four quarter notes.
The swing will not be the same, you will play with the same spirit as the drummer and your "feeling" will be ideal.
